Pony fun for children are in abundance near Hobart at Richmond where  childrens pony experiences are offered from three years upward. Pony fun packages can be found on our website www.richmondvalleyridingschool.com.au  If you would like something not listed in our pony play options, feel free to phone and discuss what you may like to see offered as we do our utmost to cater to your wants.  Lead pony rides through the bush and fields are polular with children also seeking out the hidden plush animals scattered around the trail.   Popular is our Pat, play and maybe have a sit on one of our miniatures is very popular.  the brushing and combing combined with pretty hair clips, scrunchies and ribbons provides great fun and a sense of achievement to the littlies and older children alike.  Fresh air and fun combined with learning about  real live ponies is always a winner.

Near Hobart at Richmond childrens activities are rockin, with real pony rides and or pat and play and assorted size rocking horse rides for your children as well. Check out the website www.richmondvalleyridingschool.com.au  for all the various childrens activities on the pony party and holdiay activities tab.  As an adult you are also catered for with larger horses for  your horse riding lesson either as a private experience or shared with a friend or two.  The website should answer most of your questions, however if you would like to know more please phone the riding school preferably in the evening or send an email or leave a message on the landline if you  would like us to contact you when we are inside.  Ages range from three years, where some toddlers are happy to just have a pats, while others like to sit on a pony as well.  Using pretty clips and scrunchies your children have lots of fun, combing, brushing  and  plaiting a real live pony.  Photo and  filming are most welcome as we realise this is a wonderful way to have a keepsake of your child or children enjoying their childhood.  Enquiries very welcome, visits by appointment only.  Thank you for taking the time to read one of our blogs.

Pony Parties & Holiday Activities isideally the first page you should have a look at where you will see various photos and can read through more choices.  Our prices/payments page also has a grid showing children’s pony experience options as well.  Some mums have made their own pony parties by booking our $120 package  which  allows up to 6children and includes two ponies, one is our little miniature pony Shanny which we have for pat and play where the children are up close  and personal to groom and make pretty with hairbands, scrunchies etc while another pony is used for hand led pony rides.    Sometimes the mums bring party bags of their own and a birthday cake to make a little party.  All in all a lovely country pony experience.  We are only three minutes from Richmond which makes it extremely easy to include many of the fun options Richmond also offers.

CHILDRENS PONY RIDES happen all the time at our HORSE RIDING SCHOOL in HOBART TASMANIA.  Our HORSE RIDING SCHOOL in HOBART TASMANIA is located in Richmond which is a short drive from Hobart in Tasmania. Children from three years of age to granparents at sixty three years of age ride horses or ponies at RICHMOND VALLEY RIDING SCHOOL.  Granparents often bring out their granchildren for a riding lesson or lead pony ride while they take some time out to read the paper or have a cat nap in the car.  Usually the first time granparents and children come out they watch the entire lesson and take lots of photos and video first.  Prizes are often given out at the end of a lesson for achieving tasks given during the lesson. all of which are achievable,  which usually goes for half an hour for youngsters about six years down to three years.  From seven years onward either an hour or half hour is offered.  Helmets and boots are available for riders.  Long sleeves and long trousers, jodphurs and or jeans are required for riding, along with sunscreen, we keep lots of sunscreen about for our riders who often forget their own.  RIDING is wonderful physical  exercise.

HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES for CHILDREN in HOBART, TASMANIA are numerous at RICHMOND VALLEY RIDING SCHOOL.  CHILDRENS ACTIVITIES are numerous as the choices of options are many.  On our prices/payments page found at the top of our website www.richmondvalleyridingschool.com.au  has many options from 1 child to 20 children.  One of our most popular activities in the holidays for mums who have got together with 4 to 6 children is our one hour LEAD, RIDE, PAT & PLAY. This option incorporates children all enjoying the experience of  a hand lead pony ride as well as the opportunity  to pat, groom and pretty up another pony with ribbons scrunchies hair bands etc.  Prizes are also handed out to the children near the end of their hour.  Other options are available for less children or more children depending on your requirements.  Please dont hesitate to contact us for further information or any query you may have.  Our lead trail ride “ANIMAL SPOTTO”  is a wonderfully fun option for those youngsters  that have sat on a pony before and are comfortable  with the idea of leaving the confines of the enclosed arena, to go in search of our hidden “Australian”toy animals.
