HORSE RIDING LESSONS are held at our HORSE RIDING SCHOOL in HOBART, where HORSE RIDING LESSONS at RICHMOND VALLEY RIDING SCHOOL are lots of FUN.  We are a family friendly horse riding school, located only fifteen minutes from the Hobart Airport or twenty five minutes from HOBART or twenty minutes from CLARENCE (eastlands). When you arrive at Richmond, drive over the old historic Richmond Bridge then travel about six hundred metres then turn left onto Prosserroad, drive just two kilometresthen turn right onto Richmond Valley Road, we are at the end of this one kilometre dead end road.  We have a sign on the gate, so come on up if you have an appointment otherwise we may be too busy teaching to give you the proper time you deserve to look about etc, it is also for the safety of our clients that we require an appointment, as for safety sake it is nice to know who is wandering about your property and if those people on your p[roperty have horse sense.  We are an insured riding school so have safe procedures which have to be followed by all for everyones safety.  thank you for taking the time to find our website.

CHILDRENS HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES in HOBART are  PONY PLAY, PAT, RIDE or FEED, also DRUM PLAY entertains CHILDREN on HOLIDAYS.  ACTIVITIES for CHILDREN are found at RICHMOND VALLEY RIDING SCHOOL in Richmond.  Go to our website or if already there look at our home page or pony party/activities page for more information on what we offer for children in the holidays.  We offer half hour and more options, either the PAT,PLAY and FEED our miniature black PONY  mare “Shanny”  and our palomino  SHETLAND PONY  gelding “Victa”.  We even have a life size toy pony to try first if anyone is a bit nervous.  Our Pat, Play and Feed option does not include riding our real ponies, however various other options are available, just look to our prices page above.  Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have further queries  or wish to make a booking.  Photos and or video are most welcome and encouraged.  The above option is for half an hour, share the cost with friends, as you can have up to four children  get together to share the experience with a total cost of just sixty dollars.  Drum Fun is also available at the same time for boys or others wishing to experience a full drum kit experience as well as electric drums etc.

Quiet Childs Pony – Riding School’s are Best for Beginner Riders or Nervous Riders

Nervous riders or Beginner riders should learn safely at Richmond Valley Riding School.  We have many older ponies and horses.  Gift vouchers work well as a present from a caring granparent or aunt!!   Pony Parties are also offered, along with hand led trail rides for the nervous or beginner rider.  Our horses names are ….  starting with the smallest  Chantelle, she is a miniature pony, Victa is our palomino shetland pony, followed by Micky, a wlesh mountain kids pony and Yogi Bear our Grullo welsh cross (not a cross welsh!) Misty a pretty flea bitten grey about 12hh.  Lilly is Mickys girlfriend, they are like an old married couple, and live together being hand fed morning noon and night, but everyone to visit Richmond Valley Riding School loves them.  We have many more ponies, but if you ride you should visit Horseland or Saddleworld to see all the wonderful things you can buy for you and your pony friends. Blossom is about 13.1hh a beautiful chestnut aged mare, great fun for canter when you are ready.  Chalky is the pony Kim uses for taking trails, he is a 12hh welsh mountain plain grey pony gelding, Kim find it easier if she has to get on and off during a trail ride.  Rose our Bay galloway mare is lovely out on trail rides at Richmond Valley Riding School.

At our HORSE RIDING SCHOOL in HOBART we do HORSE RIDING, our HORSE RIDING SCHOOL does HORSE RIDING for people wanting to HORSE RIDE.  We suggest you click on our home page tab and read on from there.  Riders are catered for when they are youngor, nervous to experienced competitors.  We offer half hour, one hour or one and a half hour lessons, either private shared with another or a gourp of riders up to eight at a time.  Riders also have supervised access to around three hundred acres of beautiful scenic hill and dale trails, along with an enclosed olympic size, all weather surfaced shredded rubber dressage arean and a round yuard, jumping areas and a one kilometre endurance track for fitness work or pleasure trailing.  Current safety standard riding helmets and riding boots are compulsory and available for lessons free of charge where required.  Richmond Valley Riding School often conduct in-house holiday riding camps.  In parirs riders are allocated a horse tro care for and ride.  The camps vary to include group lessons, mini games competitions, gymkhanas, orienteering, trailing, horse mastership, showjumping and dressage comps.  At the conclusion of camps all riders are awarded a certificate of participation and team prizes and or ribbons if not previously during the day handed out.

CHILDRENS HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES, think PONY RIDES or LESSONS, PONY RIDING KIDDIES love sharing a PONY RIDE  during HOLIDAYS in HOBART. PONY RIDES are a great way for children to experience the outdoors and real live animals in a safe fun environment.  Children get the chance to pat and play/groom a real live pony and in no time become quiet comfortable around our pony or ponies.  Get a group of your friends together with children to share the cost of hiring ponies for an hour.  Only $20 per rider if you organise 6 children to share the pony experience with two ponies.  the children are given hand led pony rides on one pony and the other pony is available for pat and play with brushes, scrunchies ribbons etc to plait and play.  Some children even like to sit on our miniature pony bare back.  A wonderful experience to boost every childs confidence around live larger animals.  Photos and film are encouraged to re live the experience at home later or to show nanna!   Even good for pics to take to school for show and tell.  In the winter our ponies are much fluffier than in the summer when they have their summer sleek shiny coats, most riders prefer the fluffy ponies.  We even have a pretend pony larger than one of our miniature ponies.

PONY RIDES HOBART, PONY PARTIES  &  CHILDREN RIDE, PAT & PLAY with PONIES at RICHMOND VALLEY RIDING SCHOOL near HOBART where PONIES love PAT & PLAY FUN.  Here at RICHMOND VALLEY RIDING SCHOOL we offer pony parties and have great fun in catering for these parties, up to fourteen party children can arrive to have fun withorganised active games in ourshredded rubber surfaced enclosed arena.   The children are divided into two teams where they earn points for their team within the organised game activities.  The winning team guests all recieve first choice of the prizes and of course the runner up team party guests all get a prize as well with their second pick.   By then all children are a bit more puffed out from games and then ready for party food and drinks which is already laid out and close at hand. An ingredients list is available for perusal.  What would a party be without Jelly, so of course we have individual little jellies for each party child.   Tea and coffee is included in the party for adults who stay on and watch the fun and games.  While the party children are eating, the PONIES are brought up to the arena looking pretty for the REAL pony rides and REAL pony play.
